Gong Amp brings an innovative experimental amplifier, rooted in the early days of electronic music, into the modern world of plugins. It is accessible as AUv3 and Standalone.

In 1932, Maurice Martenot sought a solution to amplify his trailblazing proto-synthesizer "Ondes" beyond the limitations of the era's horns and loudspeakers. He devised a series of "diffuseurs," among which was the "Métallique." Instead of traditional components like paper cones or horns, Martenot integrated a gong into the amplifier's circuitry. This seemingly straightforward concept gave rise to resonances and vibrant overtones that captivate audiences even today.

By employing a sophisticated blend of convolution processing, physical modeling, and feedback systems, Gong Amp introduces an instrument that remains faithful to the original's responsiveness while surpassing it in terms of sound design possibilities.
